"Christmas Angel 3" is the painting I started by leading a Paint Party class at Hemet Valley Art Association gallery.  I wanted to use different colors than the previously painted Christmas Angel that I used for the sample.  I think this 14" x 11" acrylic on canvas panel, completed October 4, 2020, is my favorite.

     The white dress, done in irridescent acrylic paint, glows and the metallic paint used in the purple/pink background, sparkles.  The inspiration for my angel series came from a quadraplegic lady in a class held through Mira Costa College at San Louis Rey Mission, Oceanside, California.

     Margaret Bear always painted angels.  She used the same pattern, drawn by someone else, but the choice of brush, paint color and application was all hers.  Sometimes she added glitter on top of the paint before it dried, so her backgrounds were bright and sparkley.

     Margaret showed what can be done when one puts their mind to it.
