I have lived in the Murrieta, California area since 1983, but have been acquainted with the place ever since I was a child.  I like the old buildings on Jefferson Avenue in Old Town.  One day I took an “artist’s day off" and took camera to photograph whatever took my fancy.

     This building is a little cottage, painted white with blue trim that used to be the water district’s office.  Before that, I don’t know, probably a private residence.

     I drew this house in graphite pencil using what I know of perspective to get the form and shape correct.  I entered "Old Town Murrieta Cottage" in Murrieta Art Council’s contest October, 2019.  Won one place along with four others.  The prizes for six local artists was for their artwork to hang in City Hall for three months, which this one did.

     All sales are final.  Every precaution will be taken to protect artwork during shipping.  In the event product does get damaged, in transit, send photograph of damaged goods.  Cost of goods will be refunded.
