"Sunflowers 2"

     Every artist has to do sunflowers at least once.  I purchased fake flowers from the art store to use as models for my Fundamentals of Art drawing classes.  They look very realistic. 

     First version rendered is 24” x 18” in charcoal, which I have framed and hanging.

     The second phase of my drawing class introduces color and a variety of media.   I painted "Sunflowers 2 "in soft pastels on 24” x 18” watercolor paper.  Really love the way the leaves turned out, getting the front and backside to make them appear folded.

     I used a ginger jar that I painted, for the vase.  Really like how this composition turned out, juxtaposing the gold flowers on a complimentary background of purple.  I later cropped the painting to 20" x 16"

     All sales are final.   Every precaution will be taken to protect artwork during shipping.  In the event product gets damaged in transport, send photo of damaged goods.  Cost of goods will be refunded.
