"Watermelon 2"
Years ago I studied art through a distance education course, learning how to use watercolors. There was a TV program of a watercolorist painting a slice of watermelon.
Deciding that would be a good project for me, I painted in similar fashion, even getting the droplets of water. I framed that work and hung it in my dining room above the fireplace. This is another picture of a wedge, complete with drops of water, only this time done in acrylic paints.
A 9" x 12", entered in Hemet Valley Art Association Bronze category, "Watermelon 2" won third place.
